The Miyagi series modular chillers and heat pumps with air-cooled condenser are separate self-contained units available in 4 different sizes. Miyagi series modules can be freely combined on-site, to achieve any overall performance. Use of the separate independent modules provides not only flexibility, but also reliability of the system - a failure in one of the compressors; it does not affect the whole system. In comparison with large chiller systems, the systems consisting of several modular chillers are more energy efficient at partial loads (due to the smooth power regulation), ensure less load on the roof of the building (since such system may be arranged randomly throughout the area), and are easier to install and commission. Miyagi modular chillers and heat pumps are designed for outdoor use and are ideal for cooling of public and industrial facilities, such as hotels, cottages, restaurants,
hospitals, factories, where there are strict limits on noise levels and the allocated space for installation.

Housing: The frame and trim are made of high carbon galvanized steel sheets, powder painted following by high temperature treatment, which provides corrosion-resistant finish.

Compressors: All the Miyagi series units are equipped with 1, 2 or 4 (depending on model) hermetic scroll compressors, connected in parallel in order to ensure smooth control and reliable operation of the unit. The compressors are equipped with built-in protection against overheating of the motor winding, shut-off valves in the discharge line and a soundproof enclosure.

Coolant: R407c

Evaporator: Shell and tube evaporator with a single refrigeration circuit. All evaporators are provided with a drain valve and an air vent. Evaporators of this type are resistant to water hammer, have low requirements for purity of cooling water and are simple in the use and maintenance.

Condenser: The condensing unit is comprised of two V-pattern batteries, made of copper tubes, copper collectors and aluminium fins.
All the condensers, even in standard configuration, feature the BlueFin corrosion-resistant hydrophobic coating and are equipped with automatic adaptive defrosting system (with option of manual start via the controller menu) based on the hot-gas bypass.

Fans: Axial fans with sickle-shaped blades. The fan speed is smoothly adjustable by the controller depending on the load current for maximum efficiency.

Refrigerant circuit: Each refrigerant circuit in Miyagi series units in standard configuration contains the following items

• High-pressure sensor
• Water temperature sensors at the inlet and outlet of the evaporator;
• Safety valve in the high and low pressure zones;
• Shut-off valve in the liquid line;
• Filter-drier;
• Solenoid valve in the liquid line;
• Liquid     flow sight glass;
• Electronic thermostatic valve;
• 4-way cycle reverse valve;
• Low pressure sensor;

Controller: The system is controlled by the "Carel" controller, equipped with an LCD display, programmable buttons and a speaker. The control panel is located on the door of the electrical panel and has an intuitive interface. The "Carel" controller allows you not only to adjust the general settings of the temperature but also control a number of additional functions, such as start of the defrosting system, error monitoring, event programming according to timer, enabling or disabling of remote control function.
